Takeaway’s insurance is very comprehensive

A barbecue stand on the island says they will compensate you if your food is stolen by seagulls!

Hawkins BBQ plans to serve breakfast on Loch Promenade in Douglas from next Wednesday and has started selling seagull insurance.

Anyone who buys insurance when ordering food will allegedly be able to get a free replacement if a bird swoops in and steals the food.

The business even created its own certificate of insurance.
