Koror, Palau – August 8, 2024 – In a significant act of goodwill and environmental commitment, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Ms. Chien-Yi Lee, has generously donated US$10,000 to support the conservation efforts of the Palau Conservation Society (PCS). With this donation, the Republic of China (Taiwan) demonstrates its commitment to supporting and promoting sustainable development and protection of Palau’s unique natural environment. “We are honored to work with the Palau Conservation Society and look forward to further collaboration. We have created success together in the past and will continue to do so in the future.”

PCS Executive Director Elbuchel Sadang expressed his gratitude, saying, “We appreciate the Republic of China (Taiwan)’s contribution to shaping Palau’s sustainable environmental legacy and future.” He also stressed that the organization is eager to expand its partnership with the Republic of China (Taiwan), for example by working with non-governmental organizations, emphasizing the positive impact such cooperation can have on the environment.
