A Boeing 777 operated by Swiss International Air Lines flying from Tokyo to Zurich made an emergency landing in Kazakhstan on Saturday due to a medical incident on board and also experienced problems after landing, the airline said in a statement.
The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft was unable to take off after its front wheel became entangled in grass and needed to be towed back to the runway, the statement said. The aircraft will be inspected for damage and is subject to investigation.
Swiss International Air Lines confirmed that none of the 319 passengers on board were injured in the incident.
Boeing did not immediately respond to a request for comment outside normal business hours.
