Tanahun, June 14. Tanahun Anbukhaaireni Rural Municipality has started providing study expenses to 2 Chepang students. Amrut Chepang and Sanjeev Chepang of Ambukhaireni-5 have been provided with Rs 5000 per month for study expenses.

Bishnu Prasad Sharma, the village’s chief administrative officer, revealed that Amrit was studying in grade 9 and Sanjeev in grade 11 at the local Ramshah secondary school.

According to the decision of the standing meeting, the funds will be used to subsidize poor students in Chepang to study until grade 12, at 5,000 yuan per month.

During this academic session, a cheque of Rs 40,000 was handed over to Amrit for the second and third installments for 8 months, from November to June, and a cheque of Rs 15,000 was handed over to Sanjeev for 3 months, from May to June. Panchayat president Shuka Chuman said that the panchayat government provides financial support so that they are not deprived of the opportunity of education.

The rural municipality has adopted a policy of providing a monthly boarding allowance of Rs 5,000 to poor students. 14 executive members and a chief administrative officer have been collecting monthly meeting allowances from the education fund.
