The Palestinian Authority has strongly condemned clashes between Israeli ministers and senators at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the attack, calling it an act of violence against Muslims.
The statement said Israel’s repeated attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque were an obstacle to Middle East peace efforts.
The government and people of Dhaka stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and call on the international community to take immediate steps to find a peaceful and lasting solution to the ongoing Palestinian conflict, the statement said.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is one of the three holiest mosques in the eyes of Allah, the other two being the Haram in Mecca and the Nabawi Mosque in Medina.
