Shockingly, some unidentified persons in Mulanje have allegedly tampered with the grave of Madalitso Kasimbwe, who was born with albinism.
The incident took place at the weekend at Chinomba village in Chikombu Traditional Authority Area in Mulanje County.
The regional police spokesman, Innocent Moses, told the media on Monday that Kasimbwe died in 2006 at the age of 25 after a long illness and was buried in his hometown.
“The suspects were unable to reach the coffin because the tombstone is very solid, made of large stones and bricks, and they were unable to damage it in 2018,” Moses said.
Meanwhile, Moses said police are currently in the process of arresting the suspect.
