PARIS, France — Shanieka Ricketts of Jamaica added another medal to Jamaica’s medal tally today when she won a silver medal in the women’s triple jump final at the Stade de France.
Ricketts jumped a season-best 14.87 meters on the sand, finishing behind Dominican Sia Lafont, who set a national record with a jump of 15.02 meters to take the gold medal.
Jasmine Moore of the United States won the silver medal with a season’s best of 14.67 meters. Jamaica’s total medal count increased to two after Rajindra Campbell in the men’s shot put.
