Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment to film Alia Bhatt’s film Honey Several languages including Tamil and Telugu.
The film has become one of the most watched movies on Netflix last week and has received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. So now the film will be made in Telugu and Tamil as well.
According to Pinkvilla, the producer and COO of Red Chillies Entertainment, Gaurav Verma, personally confirmed the news and said, “We have had the script of Darling for a while and during the process, we decided to make it in multiple languages.”
“The film has a context that will lend itself well to being adapted into multiple languages. The process is going on as we speak,” he added.
Gaurav further revealed, “The storyline remains the same but we will localize it. Honey The story is set in Mumbai, but now, we will create a different world for the Tamil Telugu people. We will localize the characters and their reactions.”
Honey will be a separate banner in the Tamil and Telugu markets, and with this in mind, Gaurav Verma was asked, “Is this the path they wish to take in the future?”
To which he responded: “This is always the path we would like to take if given the opportunity. Indian Soldier It will be released in multiple languages.”
“We will not merge our operations into Tamil and Telugu markets or set up offices there but will proceed on a script basis. Honey There is potential, so we will exploit it.”
He further said, “Many people have sold the rights but we want to be part of the process of translating this story into other languages. We have been working with the script for four years and we want it to evolve in the right way. Of course, there will be language barriers but we will ensure that it is done correctly.”
