Singer Sergey Zhukov filed a lawsuit with the Arbitration Court to regain the rights to the hits of the group “Hands Up”, including “My Baby”, “Student”, “Alien Lips” and ten other works. The news was reported by the Mash Telegram channel. The artist had filed a lawsuit against the band’s producer Andrei Malikov, who legally owned the hits. However, Zhukov subsequently lost the case – the judges of the Simonovsky Court ruled that, although he was the author and performer of the hits, it was Malikov who financed the recording of the songs. Another argument against Sergey Zhukov was that he had not challenged his rights for 20 years. The artist tried to challenge this decision with the Moscow City Court, but lost on appeal. The claim has now been submitted to the Moscow Arbitration Court. Photo: Sergey Zhukov’s social network
