Parliament’s Social Services and Communities Select Committee is hearing submissions on the Residential Tenancies Amendment Bill.
The Citizens Advice Bureau opposed reinstating the power for landlords to end tenancies without cause, but the Property Investors Federation said it would be better for good tenants.
As part of a wider reform implemented between 2018 and 2021, dismissals without cause were banned in 2021.
