His Excellency Mr. Abdoulaye Diop, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, gave a telephone interview to His Excellency Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed important issues of common concern aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries. In this regard, they focused on the current security issues in Mali in the context of the fierce fight against allied terrorist organizations with the support of foreign sponsors.
The Russian Foreign Minister took the opportunity to reiterate that Russia stands firmly with Mali and the Arab League countries in defeating common enemies and ensuring stability and sustainable development of the subregion.
