Kathmandu. Sometimes, the past can come back to haunt people. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt knows this well. Dutt had to miss the film Sardar 2 because of an incident in his past.
After Dutt’s exit, actor Ravi Kishan has been signed to act in the film. According to a report in Mid Day, the casting of the film had to be changed after the UK denied actor Dutt a visa last month.
Therefore, the producers changed the cast of the second sequel in 2012 due to the inability to fly to the UK. Sanjay is all set to play the villain in the film. Ajay Devgn and Munnar Thakur will play the lead roles in this film.
The news mentioned that due to Sanjay’s past imprisonment, the UK refused to provide the necessary visa for the film, which was supposed to be shot in Scotland. According to sources, Dutt’s UK visa had been rejected many times before.
The shooting schedule of Sanjay’s upcoming film Housefull 5, which was originally scheduled to be shot in the UK in September, may also be affected due to the UK visa. This is why producer Sajid Nadiawala announced that the shooting of Sanjay’s character will be done in Mumbai.
In April 1993, actor Dutt was detained under TADA and the Arms Act. He was convicted of violating the Arms Act in 1993 for having obtained illegal weapons from others involved in the Mumbai bomb blasts. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
In March 2013, the Supreme Court sentenced him to five years in prison. After being released on bail several times in 2013, he served the full sentence and was released in 2016.
