Maks & Moorits of Tartu University lost to BC Kalev/Cramole in three games in the final of the Estonian Basketball Championship.
“We tried what we tried but we lacked strength. It seemed like we didn’t have our feet on the ground and we couldn’t score. You can defend for a long time. We were also tired,” said Pritt Vinay, head coach of Tartu University, ERR.
What does Tartu need most? “Especially the budget,” the Russian replied. “Then the right moves will follow. These things still cost money, and they also cost Kramer the championship. This is how life is.”
According to the head coach, they managed to improve their performance in the screening match. “People were skeptical about whether we could make it to the final. We did it. For a while we were able to cope with everything, but maybe in the end it was a bit too much for us,” he said.
“We wanted to go out on a high from the first series. Unfortunately, in life, you have to learn to take things as they come. It didn’t turn out well.”
