On Saturday, police seized a replica of the Lihula monument, which was scheduled to be unveiled on private land in Lihula on Sunday.

Riigikogu member Varro Vooglaid (EKRE) wrote on social media that police had confiscated a replica of the Lihula monument, which was scheduled to be opened on private land in Lihula on Sunday.

On Saturday, police seized the truck carrying the monument from Tallinn to Lihula on the road and removed it with the help of rescue services, Vooglaiu reported.

Vooglaid also shared the contents of the protocol prepared by the police on social media, noting that the police were relying on Article 151 of the Criminal Code, which is about inciting social hatred.

According to Wogleu, people are still gathering in Lihula despite the fact that the monument has been taken away by the powers that be.
