Luxembourg City is preparing for a community-driven urban planning event, “Ideas Lab”, which will allow residents, entrepreneurs and associations to shape the future of the capital’s 24 districts through collaborative brainstorming and local initiatives.
Luxembourg City will host a brainstorming session on urban planning called Creative LabThe aim is to foster community spirit and improve the quality of life in the capital’s 24 districts by actively involving residents in the “Quartierspläng” initiative. The initiative promises to provide a vibrant forum for residents, entrepreneurs and association representatives to collaborate and come up with innovative solutions to the specific needs of their region.
During the two-day workshop, participants will work in groups to discuss proposals put forward by team members. The workshop will be guided by “experienced mentors and experts” from different municipal departments, who will provide valuable insights and support throughout the process.
After the lab, the teams will present their ideas and results to a jury. This presentation will serve as a catalyst for the future development of Luxembourg City districts, laying the foundations for sustainable and community-oriented growth.
The conference will take place from Friday, October 18, 2024 to Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the Cessange Cultural Center.
Apéri’tours will resume online surveys
After the summer holidays, the Apéri’tours programme, another important component of the Quartierspläng programme, will resume on the last Sunday in September. These tours offer residents the opportunity to explore different quarters and engage in discussions with politicians and policymakers, with the last event scheduled for Tuesday, October 22 in Kirchberg.
Prior to this, Online Survey Keep it open and allow residents to express their opinions on various issues such as public meeting spaces, social cohesion, and the availability of sports, cultural and social facilities.
