With the BCCI appointing Gambhir as the team’s new head coach, Rohit Sharma‘s wife Ritika Sajdeh took to social media to pay the ultimate tribute to Dravid, who remains one of the most revered cricketers of all time.
In her post, Ritika wrote that the entire Sharma family will miss Dravid, especially their daughter Samaira.
She wrote: “We are deeply touched. You meant so much to our family. We will miss you terribly. I think Sammy will miss you the most.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Rohit also paid tribute to Dravid, saying Ritika called the India coach his “work wife” and he is also honoured to call you that.
Rohit wrote on his Instagram page: “My wife (Ritika Sajdeh) calls you my work wife and I am lucky to call you that.”
“I have been trying to find the right words to properly express how I feel but I am not sure I will ever find them,” the Indian skipper, who is not known for being emotional, wrote.
“You are an absolute stalwart of the sport, but you put all your accolades and accomplishments behind you and walked into our group as a coach and made us all feel comfortable enough to say anything to you.
“It’s your talent, your humility and your love for the game after so long,” Rohit wrote.
