The board of directors of Italian broadcaster Rai on Monday approved the appointment of Roberto Sergio as the new chief executive of the state broadcaster.
He replaces Carlo Fuortes, who resigned last week under pressure from Italy’s right-wing government.
On Sunday, it was announced that left-wing talk show host and entertainer Fabio Fazio will leave Rai state broadcaster to sign a four-year contract with Warner Bros. Discovery Channel.
