Lawyers representing billionaire Robert Miller, who faces criminal charges for sexually exploiting girls, plan to argue he is too ill to receive a fair trial.
Defense attorneys Isabella Teolis and Nicolas St-Jacques have filed a motion to stay the trial on charges filed against Miller last week. His first court appearance is scheduled for July 3. They argue Miller cannot defend himself and a trial would violate two of his Charter rights, including the right to a fair trial.
