On the evening of 13/8/2024, National Police personnel arrested a foreigner guilty of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trading.
Specifically, at around 8 pm, personnel from the Flying Department of the Rimini Police Headquarters, after carrying out a normal control of the area, spotted a foreign citizen suspected of doing something in the “Spina Verde” public city park.
The man was riding a bicycle and noticed the presence of the police and fled in a hurry.
During the pursuit, the operator noticed him throwing a white envelope into a private public garden. After the police arrived and stopped him, they began to conduct a personal search and found several misplaced and folded small banknotes, believed to be proceeds from drug dealing. After the wrapping paper thrown by the man when he fled was found, a cocaine-like narcotic substance weighing about 30 grams and a precision scale were found.
The man was escorted to a police station and arrested pending immediate trial scheduled today.
