Everyone was smiling at the Mwanza police station when Reunion Insurance donated a large amount of white paper worth K1.5 million to ease the challenges faced by the police station in handling cases.

Miller John Joshua, the company’s marketing and business development manager, said the donation was in response to a recent request from the Mwanza District Commissioner (DC).
In the request, the DC appealed that the Mwanza Police Station urgently requires stationery to assist it in carrying out its work.
Joshua said their positive response to the call was part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“We have an office at the Mwanza border so the Mwanza police play an important role in ensuring the safety of our office and our clients, which is why we did not hesitate to help,” Joshua said.
The Director of Agriculture, Faiston Kwazani, who spoke on behalf of the Regional Commissioner, expressed gratitude to Reunion Insurance for the goodwill shown to the Mwanza Police Station.
In his speech, Senior Superintendent Nkoma of the Mwanza Police Station thanked the donation on behalf of the Chief of Mwanza Police Station, Kelvin Maigwa.
“I have no words to express my gratitude for this donation, it came quicker than we thought. Thank you Reunion Insurance Management,” said Maigwa.
The Mwanza police station has five police units, namely Thambani, Kalanga, Kunenekude, Tulonkhondo and Border Police, which rescued a total of 152,000 people.
Also, since it is a border area, it has a high crime rate, especially theft, according to the station.
