Iran-backed groups including the Houthis, Hezbollah and the Iraqi Islamic Resistance launched a multi-pronged coordinated assault on Israel, hitting targets in Eilat in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
Meanwhile, Israel also faces certain retaliation from Iran over the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last week, while Hezbollah has vowed to respond to Israel’s attack on its top commander Sayyed Fuad Ali in Beirut.
It is believed that Iran may launch an attack on Israel on August 12-13 in conjunction with other members of the resistance axis, while Hezbollah may launch an attack earlier.
