Republican Tour: 1 billion CFA francs subsidy for the city of Cango

Libreville, Thursday, August 15, 2024 (Gabon News) – On Tuesday, August 13, General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema continued his republican tour in the Estuaire province, heading to the province of Komokango, where he was welcomed by a crowd that almost cheered.

After a warm welcome by local authorities, the Transitional President reminded everyone of the desire of the Transition and Restoration Council (CTRI) to defend the country and to see the Gabonese people foster love and social cohesion among them. As in any place he has visited, the Head of State did useful work in the town of Cango, declaring that the region will not be excluded from the scope of his wish for Gabon’s development.

He also announced an increase in subsidies to the Town Hall to one billion CFA francs and a special envelope of CFA francs 500 million for the Cango Municipal Roads. In addition, General Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema decided to increase the monthly salary of all agents working in the private sector to 200,000 CFA francs for the benefit of the young people of Cango. He said that the multipurpose hall will be transformed into a gaming space with a capacity of 500 people and a new building will be built for Town Hall services.

As for the Public School where Mr Fang works, the Saint-Marcel Church and the Cango Bridge, the restoration of these units will start in a few days, as will the construction of a large lobby reception area and the renovation of the building, which will be transformed into a media library.

General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema also announced during the Republican Tour at the Kango Stage the expansion of the Angom Private Protestant School, which will increase the number of classrooms from three to 20.
