Rashid Broadbear wins bronze medal in men’s 110m hurdles at Paris Olympics

PARIS, France – Minutes earlier, Jamaican Rashid Broadbear finished third in the men’s 110m hurdles final of the 2024 Paris Olympics at the Stade de France, adding another bronze medal to his country’s tally.

Broadbear tied for first place with silver medalist Daniel Roberts of the United States in 13.09 seconds.

The winner was world champion Grant Holloway, also from the United States, with a time of 12.99 seconds.

The other Jamaican representatives who made the final, defending champion Hansler Pachment and Orlando Bennett, trailed behind, with Bennett in 13.34 seconds and Pachment in 13.39 seconds.

This brings Jamaica’s medal tally to six. Roger Stoner won the country’s first gold medal yesterday. Rajendra Campbell won bronze in the shot put, Shanika Ricketts won silver in the triple jump and Wayne Pinnock won silver in the long jump. Keeshan Thompson’s silver in the men’s 100m is the country’s only track and field medal to date.
