Kiki Adhikari, the producer of the film Boksi Ko Ghar, received the award for his exemplary work on the film.

Kathmandu. The country’s largest cinema chain QFX has presented awards to the films and their producers and distributors that had the highest turnover in its cinemas in the last fiscal year.

Awards were also presented to three advertising agencies AD Releases, Max Media and Avani Communication Solutions that contributed to the QFX campaign at a ceremony held at Hotel Solti on Sunday.

Last year, the five highest-grossing films from the QFX chain also won awards.

Awards were given to top-grossing films Mahajatra, Boksi Ko Ghar, Madang Bada, Pujaar Sarki and Bhashme Don. The producers, directors and actors of these films were present at the ceremony.

The film “Boksi Ko Ghar” was awarded for exemplary work. Actress and producer Kiki Adhikari came on stage to accept the honour.

QFX also gave awards to the five distribution companies of the highest-grossing films. The most profitable distribution companies in the chain in the last financial year were Apple Entertainment, A-at Distribution, Banktes Entertainment, FD Company and DCN.

The awards were presented by Nakim Uddin, Bhaskar Dhungana and Rajesh Siddi, directors of Quest Entertainment, a Mau company under QFX. In addition, awards were presented by QFX franchise partners and artistes from different regions.

QFX manager Tripti Giri said that QFX has been entertaining Nepali society through movies for more than two decades. She said QFX is committed to improving the quality of movie watching.

During the ceremony, Kiran Nepali gave a melodious musical performance combining Nepali folk tunes with western instruments. He also included some famous Nepali film songs in his tunes.

Former Miss Nepal Namrata Shrestha hosted the award ceremony.

Currently, QFX has 40 screens in 17 pavilions across the country. QFX has laid the foundation for the development of a diverse culture in Nepal. Before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, QFX was organizing the awards ceremony. The awards ceremony, which was stopped midway, has now resumed.
