Qatar Insurance Group, a leading insurance company in Qatar and the Middle East and North Africa region, has concluded its annual summer training programme for high school students with a ceremony to award training certificates to the trainees at the Qatar Insurance Group headquarters.
Students from different schools across Qatar participated in the two-month programme from June to August and were selected based on their academic performance and interest in the insurance industry.
The training program is designed in an innovative way to help interns identify the field of work they would like to join in the future by introducing them to a real working environment and gaining practical experience in various fields such as insurance, finance, accounting, business administration, and information technology. Through the course, the trainees also learned about various aspects of the insurance industry such as underwriting, claims, risk management, and customer service. They participated in various seminars, learned from experts, and gained practical experience. The program aims to motivate students to pursue a career in the insurance industry in the future and develop their skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation.
Mr. Rashid Al Buainain, Chief Administrative Officer of Qatar Insurance Group, commended the trainees and said: “We are very proud of our annual summer training program, which is part of our social responsibility and our commitment to support the education and development of young people in Qatar. We believe that this program provides a valuable opportunity for students to learn about the insurance industry, improve their skills, acquire management skills, skills in regularity, accuracy and speed in completing work, and acclimate them to the general working environment. It is seen as an opportunity for high school and university students to complete graduation requirements such as field training and graduation projects. We hope that this program will inspire them to join us in the future and contribute to the growth and success of Qatar Insurance Group and our beloved country, Qatar.”

Student Salem Ahmed Al Mansouri said: “I am very grateful for the opportunity to train with Qatar Insurance this summer.
