It is dishonest for Philip Kirkorov to say that he is tired of touring and therefore will not travel to Russian resort cities. This view was expressed by producer Leonid Dzyunik. He recalled that for singers, public performances are the main source of income. And the singer’s life is inseparable from the stage and the audience, so it is more likely that a celebrity made such a statement to the media.
The producer recalled a similar story in the artist’s career, when 20 years ago, due to the “pink shirt” scandal, the organizers did not invite Kirkorov to perform in southern Russia during the festival. Even many audiences subsequently refused to watch his performance.
Junik believes that a similar situation has arisen now. Tickets for the King of Pop concerts are apparently not selling well because Kirkorov personally cannot refuse the summer performances.
“I should have told him that he was probably right in deciding to spend the summer at home with the kids,” he concluded.
