Postponed parliamentary session to reconvene Monday: Cayman News Service

(CNS): Cayman Islands political representatives are now scheduled to meet in Parliament on Monday, July 22, with Speaker Alden McLaughlin notifying MPs of the new date. According to a recent Cabinet note, the government currently plans to introduce five bills, not including the proposed amendments to the National Conservation Law, which is still being drafted. Meanwhile, the opposition has a long list of Parliamentary Questions and several private members motion.

The bills to be considered include supplementary appropriations relating to last year’s cash expenditures, the Summary Jurisdiction (Amendment) Bill, the Permanence (Amendment) Bill, the Pharmacies Bill and the Firearms (Amendment) Bill.
