– No mention of increased costs yet
Public Works Minister Juan Edghill said CEMCO Inc has admitted that there were design flaws in the ongoing $1.4 billion Kaitu Ma Sterling Port project, which has developed cracks and requires remedial work.
The minister said any additional costs were not yet known.
“We are now looking at solutions that we think we have found. We are remediating now. We could have been more advanced but there are materials that we have to use that we are working together to find… I can assure you that it will be done and people will get the services that they deserve,” Edgehill told the Sunday Star.
