The Portuguese House of Macau (CPM) is hosting a traditional San Antonio festival this weekend in the outdoor courtyard of the Portuguese School of Macau (EPM), starting at 6:30 p.m., where food is usually served. Party-type dishes such as grilled sardines, bifana, chorizo ​​bread, caldo verde, tripas de Aveiro (a traditional dessert from central Portugal filled with eggs or chocolate sauce) and sangria.

This was followed by a concert of traditional Portuguese music, with songs by artists such as Marco Paulo, Marante, Agata and José Cid, performed by local musicians such as Tomás Ramos de Deus, Miguel Andrade and Paulo Pereira, with CPM, Ari Calangi and João and David Rato.

On Sunday, the festival continues, but this time more aimed at families, with events taking place between 2:30 and 7 pm. The public will be able to listen to the performance of the Malay Communist Party choir “Portugalitos” and see the “Portuguese traditional puppet show, Robertos” with the participation of Sérgio Rolo. This will be followed by various activities such as crafts, games and Portuguese music concerts.

These two events are integrated into the posters celebrating June 10, Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Community Day, and are also linked to the opening yesterday of the exhibition featuring the Portuguese Sardines. The collective exhibition, which is on display at Casa de Vidro in Tapasi Square, “presents works of different artists in different formats and techniques”, CPM stressed in a statement.
