A tourist in Kansas had a dog put down by police after it was loaded into a vehicle Thursday.
Police said today that the victim was identified as KS Police received a report that a dog carried by a tourist was thrown into Thulusdu on a houseboat outside Hinmafushi.
The dog has now been taken back to the yacht.
Police said the dog was imported into Sri Lanka with permission.
