Kathmandu, July 18. The Prime Minister said the constitutional amendments were an attempt to see the chaos as a step backward.
Prime Minister Oli told the Nepal Bar Association representative team that the amendments will be made in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution itself. Two-thirds of them said that amending the Constitution would not be a step backwards.
Oli said the amendments would be based on two-thirds of the MPs amending the Constitution, “We are here after fighting for democracy.” Is it conceivable to amend the Constitution to achieve our democracy?
He said that constitutional amendment is not for regression, but for progress, good governance and development.
