PM Abiy says government in talks with Fano

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said his government has begun secret talks with the Fano militants. The prime minister said this while explaining macroeconomic reforms at a forum yesterday, but did not reveal whether a third party would be included in his speech.

Ato Semeneh Mulatu, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs in Amharafano, Gojam province, which is headed by Zemen Kase, told VOA that no talks or negotiations have begun with the government.
