2024 Olympics Day 5 Highlights: HS Prannoy had a fascinating quarter-final clash with compatriot Lakshya Sen in the men’s singles badminton event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Prannoy defeated Duc Phat Le (Vietnam) in three games to reach the last 16. Earlier in the day, Lakshya Sen defeated Jonatan Christie to advance. PV Sindhu also made it to the last 16 in the women’s singles. Boxers Lovlina Borgohain (women’s 75kg) and Nishant Dev (men’s 71kg) are one step away from medals after advancing to the quarter-finals in their respective categories. Table tennis stars Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula were eliminated from the last 16.
