Despite initial promises, so-called “flying taxis” won’t be hovering over Paris during this summer’s Olympics. German manufacturer Volocopter said Thursday it has canceled test flights of its 18-rotor drone, which resembles a small helicopter, due to delays in certifying the craft’s engine.
