ISLAMABAD: The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), an arm of Pakistan’s Overseas People and Human Resource Development Ministry, plans to send around 100 female nursing staff to a medical company in Malaysia.

An official told app The demand for female nursing staff in Malaysia has increased over time as various hospitals in the country are already well-stocked with highly qualified and professional health staff, the ministry said on Thursday.

He said the OEC had announced the qualifications and experience requirements for job seekers to apply in Malaysia.

He informed that ICU requires 100 nurses, of which 16 should hold a diploma in nursing or a Bachelor of Science in nursing or be a registered nurse from a recognized institution.

Candidates should be registered with the Nursing Council and have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a hospital setting.

He said those who have received basic training in occupational therapy/intensive care unit and paediatrics will be given priority and should be aged not more than 45 years old. The basic monthly salary is RM3,000 to RM4,500.

The monthly allowances provided by the medical company include general nursing allowances for pediatric nurses and specialized allowances for ICU and OT.

The allowances include a special allowance of RM1,100, a general nursing allowance of RM700, a degree allowance of RM400, and a basic position allowance of RM800.

The official also shared the terms and conditions of the employment contract as he added that it has been confirmed that the salaries of employees will be reviewed in March every year based on the performance of individual employees and the market salary situation and the payment of salary increase will be retroactive to January.

After the contract expires, one month’s bonus will be given for every year of service, and a bonus will be given after the contract expires for two years.
