On July 17, 2024, His Excellency Mr. Ali Mahaman Ramin Zaina, Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, had the honor to preside over the High-Level Ministerial Meeting between the Republic of Niger and the Republic of Turkey held at the Mahatma Gandhi International Conference Center in Niamey. The important Turkish delegation was led by His Excellency Mr. Fidan Hakan, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was aimed at consolidating bilateral relations and promoting the development of various sectors in Niger. His Excellency Mr. Zena expressed his deep gratitude for the multifaceted support provided by Turkey, especially in key areas such as health, education and infrastructure. He also warmly thanked Turkey for its valuable support during the embargo. He encouraged Turkish economic operators to invest in Niger and ensure that they are provided with all necessary facilities so that the development of wealth will jointly serve the interests of both countries.
His Excellency Mr. Bakary Sangaré Yaou, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad, stressed that the presence of this high-level delegation is a strong testimony to the excellent relations that unite our two countries. He stressed that this visit also reflects the unwavering solidarity of the Turkish people and Government with Niger. He recalled that our bilateral cooperation covers various fields such as health, infrastructure, security, as well as training programs and scholarships.
In short, this high-level ministerial meeting was held in a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect, with the aim of strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Niger and the Republic of Turkey.
