Katsina State Governor, Dicko Radda, on Wednesday reconstituted the state executive council.

The news came hours after he took a one-month leave from July 18 to August 18, 2024.

A statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, said: “The strategic reorganisation is aimed at optimising the performance of the state government and ensuring effective delivery of services to the people of Katsina State.”

The commissioners and their new positions are Dr. Bashir Saulawa (Ministry of Water Resources), Hadiza Yar’Adua (Ministry of Women’s Affairs), Zainab Musawa (Ministry of Education) and Hamza Faskari (Ministry of Environment).

Other members include Issa Moussa (Ministry of Higher, Technical and Vocational Education), Yusuf Gildeed (Ministry of Special Duties), Professor Abdulhamid Mani (Ministry of Rural and Social Development) and Moussa Fintua (Ministry of Health).

“The Governor directs that all affected commissioners should immediately hand over their current responsibilities to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective departments.

“They will assume their new responsibilities immediately to ensure continuity of government operations,” the statement added.
