Kathmandu, June 26. The Civil Liberties Party (Naupa) has withdrawn its support for the government. It has also decided not to hold a confidence vote in Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on April 28.

There are four MPs from Naupa in the House of Representatives. Naupa has supported Prime Minister Prachanda from the beginning.

One leader said support for the Prachanda government has now been withdrawn due to the decision to back the new alliance of the Congress and the UML. “We have requested the prime minister to give us time and we will formally inform you once time is available,” he said.
