MPs take a month’s break tonight after the first session of Parliament ends.
The MPs’ recess will last until October 1, with the next parliamentary session to be held on the first Monday or Thursday after October 1.
Vice President Ahmed Nazim, who chaired the meeting, said 82.9 percent of the work submitted in the first session had been completed.
Nazim also announced that two special sessions would be held despite the lawmakers’ one-month break. Nazim said these meetings were about appointing someone to the position of attorney general.
