Police report that a man fell into the trap of scammers when transferring money to buy a car in the Panevėžys region.
According to law enforcement, at around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Panevėžys District Police Department received a report that a 65-year-old man living in the village of Staniūnai transferred 5,500 euros to a person selling an Audi A3 car, but he did not receive the car.
A preliminary investigation into the fraud has been launched.
