Built of stone, the monument commemorates immigrants from Imote and the iconic 115, popularly known as Minika.
This is the first Mercedes monument in the world and its unveiling attracted a large number of guests from Croatia and Europe.
Despite the announcement, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel did not attend the unveiling of the monument.
