Pakistan announced on Monday that the MPOX case discovered in the country last week was a clade 2b strain.
“The current outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is primarily associated with clade 1b. It is noteworthy that no cases of clade 1b have been reported in Pakistan to date,” the country’s Ministry of Health announced yesterday.
