Land given as forest and sea will not be called land, Housing, Land and Structural Development Minister Dr Arun Jaitley said today.
The agenda of the 26th session of the 20th Parliament today includes the Minister of Housing, Land and Structural Development Dr. Arun Jaitley. It includes an interview with Ali Haider.
The Minister attended today’s meeting and answered questions raised by Galore North MP Mohammed Ibrahim. Responding to questions raised by MP Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister said that the MP had raised three questions.
The MP raised a second question: To what extent can the land used by President Ibrahim Mohamad Solih’s government to provide housing for Malays under the landlord scheme be handed over to its owners?
The minister, answering the second question from MP Mohamed Ibrahim, said it cannot be said that the lands were granted by the government of President Saleh. He said the current government must transform them into lands.
“I, when I say land, I mean land, I think this government has to come and convert it into land, what the ocean gives is not called land, what the forest gives is not called land, so this government is to come and convert it into land.
Systematically responding to the minister’s remarks, MDP MP Michael Ahmed Naseem said: “This is not the People’s National Council Hall.
Speaking after the systematic speech, the minister said the government was working hard to convert these lands into habitable lands.
Minister Haider, in response to the first question from MP Mohamed Ibrahim, said he still did not know the date by which the land allocated during President Saleh’s administration would be distributed to the beneficiaries. He said all the land allocated under the landlord program of the Saleh government would be handed over to the owners by October.
