Mille vows to make the Casa Rosada disappear, otherwise Argentina will lose zero deficit
Six months into Milley’s term, Liberal voters remain as supportive of the government as ever, a survey finds
“If they want to ‘break’ the fiscal deficit, they have to throw me out of the Casa Rosada,” Argentine President Javier Milley said on Wednesday morning. The Liberal leader made the comments during a speech at an event in Buenos Aires before heading to Italy for the G7 summit. He added: “We will have bigger reforms than Carlos Menem’s because our reforms are three times bigger than Menem’s.”
“I will not give up on zero deficit. If the initial conditions were worse than in 2001, it should have been a disaster from a social and activity point of view. We made a bigger adjustment and only fell by 7%. Everything should have been destroyed and they would have complained about the management of (Sandra) Pettovello,” the president also explained.
Milei also stressed that his government is reducing inflation and addressing insecurity. “We have done the biggest fiscal adjustment in human history in just three months. Nothing is impossible if you want to do it. Unlike those communist dwarfs who live with a fiscal deficit and exploit Banco Provincia,” he also mentioned Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kisilov.
The Liberal leader also supported the social policies adopted by the Ministry of Human Capital and questioned the role of social organizations as intermediaries between the state and those who need help most.

Milley also promised to eliminate the PAIS tax that his administration had reinstated earlier if the bases law passed.
The president also recalled that Emergency Decree (DNU) 70/23 “is still in force and if it is introduced we will have a bigger reform than Menem.” Ultimately, “we will be the freest country in the world and in 40 years we will be a world power,” Mireille also promised.
Despite the economic hardships faced by Argentines, 63% are willing to support Milleil until October, while 30% insist they need an urgent pay rise, according to a survey published Wednesday by pollster Taquion. Six months into Milleil’s term, the report found, Liberal voters’ support for the government has not changed.
