The President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic congratulated the Mayor Samir Agovic, the Chairman of the City Council Muhammad Adrovic, the Councillors and all residents of Petnica on the occasion of the City Day of Petnica, the Presidential Public Relations Office announced.
“In Petnica, the fundamental values of our society – multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-faith harmony – are carefully preserved and inherited. This young Montenegrin city has great potential for the development of agriculture and tourism,” said Milatović.
He noted that the Bihor region, with its rich cultural heritage and natural resources and renowned for the hospitality of its hardworking hosts and housewives, has the potential to make a significant contribution to the overall development of northern Montenegro.
“To achieve this goal, stronger support from state authorities is needed so that Petnica can become a place you can never leave again, through the implementation of key infrastructure projects, the creation of new jobs and increased investment activity,” Milatovic said.
He added that the numerous Petnikar expatriates, by promoting and investing in their hometown, can give additional value to the place and position it on the map of major tourist destinations in the north, which will contribute to the overall socio-economic prosperity.
The congratulatory message concluded: “With the best wishes and the belief that Petnica will become a pleasant place to return to and stay, on the occasion of Municipality Day, I once again extend my most heartfelt congratulations to all the citizens of Petnica.”
