KATHMANDU. In recent times, press conferences for Nepali films have been flooded with ‘rapid’ questions about the personal lives of actors. On Friday, Nischal Basnet and Swastima Khadka faced similar questions at a press conference organised for the release of songs from their upcoming film, Behuli from Meghauli.
They sound cautious about marriage and relationship issues. In this Q&A, Nischal rated Swastima as the current number one actress. Swastima also replied that she liked Nischal and married him because of her honest image.
Nishal was asked how many girls he had seen before marrying Swasthima. To this, Nishal gave a diplomatic answer, “The person now is more important than what happened in the past.”
The press conference began by asking Swastima how it was like to drive a tractor while shooting for the film. To this, Swastima recalled what she had said in an interview some time ago, “I feel like driving a tractor is like taking care of the elderly.”
In another question, Swasthima said that women-oriented films have been made since before. Here are the questions and answers from the press conference. Some different scenes were also seen at the press conference. Domestic film trend director Basnet appeared as an actor this time.
Swastima, who is a first-time filmmaker, also responded as an actor. The two directors of the film, Sajan Kavle and Akash Baral, replied that Nishal Basnet was not interested in directing.
‘He guides us. He makes the work easier instead of making it complicated by obsession,’ said the director. On the occasion, the second song of the film Chadke Salaam was released and the trailer was unveiled.
The trailer has been in theaters since Friday. It is said that it will be available on the online platform in a few days. The trailer is full of comedy features.
The song was created based on the background and atmosphere of a wedding. The story of the film also revolves around the struggle of an unmarried girl who turns 30 to find a suitable groom. Swastima plays the lead role in this social comedy genre film.
In the film, Nishal plays the role of a young man who returns from Australia. He said the film has also been titled ‘Behuli from Meghalli’ as it is based on Meghalli’s stories and references.
The film is produced by Dark Horse Films and Meg Howley Films. The film will be released on October 17 during the Dashain Film Festival.
