The Fountain of Wealth is a major feature of Suntec City, located in the middle of the roundabout above it.
It was once recognized as the largest fountain in the world and was listed in the Guinness Book of Records in 1998.
The structure is 13.8 meters high and has four bronze pillars that support an elevated ring with a diameter of 21 meters. The water feature is activated at certain times of the day.
According to the Suntec City website, the Fountain of Wealth will be closed from July 5 to 25 for maintenance.
A Suntec spokesperson told CNA that the company is fully cooperating with the authorities’ investigation.
“However, at this time we are unable to provide further details or comment until the investigation is complete,” the spokesperson added.
