Man admits to attack in car park during TT

A man has admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm in a Douglas car park at night during the TT.

Alex Egan, 20, of Strong Close, Douglas, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man in the Shaw’s Brow car park in the early hours of June 6.

The court heard he pushed the victim against a pillar before hitting him in the face, leaving him with broken teeth and a swollen eye.

Egan has been released on bail and will appear in court again on October 3 for sentencing.
