Recovering the transport layer|Update: July 30, 2024 21:32
On Tuesday afternoon, people searched for the woman near the Belgium-Luxembourg border. At around 20:10, news came that she had returned.
According to the Belgian police, the woman was walking near the cemetery in Tontrange, Atete, at around 10 a.m. She was not seen again.
As Luxembourg police confirmed to us, the Belgian police were supported by a helicopter of the Grand Ducal Police during the search operation on Tuesday afternoon. The Belgian police also thanked the Luxembourg Red Cross and CGDIS for their help in a Facebook update. Cédric Gantzer, a spokesman for CGDIS, told us on Tuesday that a dog from the police canine unit found the woman, who was still alive.
Police went into the woods with search dogs on Tuesday night. They asked people not to search the forest for the woman themselves while police were working.
