Ms. Hester Hyacinth has been appointed as Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting, Saint Lucia Electricity Services Company Limited (LUCELEC), effective Monday, July 1, 2024.
Ms. Hyacinth, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), previously worked as a management accountant and financial reporting accountant for the company.
She has had an outstanding career at LUCELEC for over 16 years, including being named the 2022 Supervisor of the Year for Grades 7-9.
The Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting at LUCELEC leads a team of 20 people and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounting department. This includes General Accounting, Payroll, Finance, Financial Reporting, Purchasing and Inventory Management. She also plays a key role in developing and implementing policies and controls to improve the accuracy of reported financial results, ensuring compliance with accounting standards for LUCELEC and its subsidiaries.

Ms. Hyacinth succeeds Ms. Ziva Phillips, who was appointed Chief Financial Officer of LUCELEC on March 1, 2024.
